The National Coral Reef Monitoring Program samples fish and coral data in the U.S. Atlantic jurisdictions. This includes the Gulf of Mexico (Flower Garden Banks), Southeast Atlantic (Florida - Dry Tortugas, Florida Keys, and Southeast Florida), and U.S. Caribbean (U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico). Fish and coral data are collected to monitor the health/status of the ecosytem, general trends, and assess management strategies.
We would like to create fresh graphics that can be used now and minimally updated in the future to share data with leadership, partners, and the public. Specifically, we would like to produce a cruise report infographic. This would be a colorful and artistic representation of data immediately following a 10-14 day mission. We know the data that we would like to be represented and just need a motivated intern to bring it to life. In addition, similar artistic assistance is needed for a data summary report and other opportunities are available as well. We want the important data that we collect on our valuable coral reef resources to be eye catching, professional, and interesting.
