Project Description

U.S. Embassy Suva covers political and economic issues across five Pacific island countries – Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, and Tuvalu. The issues play a critical and dynamic role within our diplomatic relationship. Your principle task would be to conduct desk reviews on key policy and program topics in order to provide important background information and supporting analysis to officers. Example tasks could include summary snapshots on the economy or political history or searching, compiling, and reviewing the projects in region related to infrastructure. The research could also expand into writing as time/interest allow. This internship is perfect for students interested in politics, economics, policy, and the Pacific region!
