Project Description

The Office of UN Political Affairs in the International Organizations Bureau (IO/UNP) seeks a talented virtual student intern with the requisite data analysis and presentation skills to build a database with a user-friendly, searchable interface of various UN speeches, products, and other texts delivered by senior UN officials and representatives of other governments. Ideally, the database would have a user-friendly interface that can search and import key phrases/terms, and run text-immanent analyses on a range of policy question and hypotheses.

The creation of this database will create greater capacity, not only for IO/UNP, but of the entire State Department, to analyze the foreign policy positions of UN officials and member states.
