Project Summary The Office of Opinion Research wants to learn more about how news consumers in Sub-Saharan Africa understand and engage with foreign media operating in their countries. To answer this question, we will conduct a series of focus groups and key informant interviews in Spring 2021.

Project Description

The intern will support the research team by analyzing transcripts from focus groups and key informant interviews from Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, or Senegal; analyzing quantitative survey data; identifying themes that emerged from the primary data collection; and assisting with writing reports and preparing presentation materials. The intern will have the opportunity to engage with and present their work to stakeholders at the Department of State as well as the broader intelligence community.
