Project Description

Monitor and report on open-source developments in investment security, including Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) news, international investment screening developments, and trends in international acquisitions and FDI. Conduct individual projects to develop guidance for U.S. embassies on investment screening best practices, case studies for responding to national security threats in investment transactions, and analyze trends in FDI in the U.S.

This program is intended for two interns to collaborate on weekly reports on open-source information for the Office of Investment Affairs. Each intern would also be responsible for an individual project over the course of two to three months related to economic analysis of foreign transactions or a legal review of new investment screening regimes in Europe and elsewhere.
