|Project Title||Create Interactive Presentations for America's Youngest Diplomats|
|Project Summary||Create engaging and educational presentations for a variety of offices at the Department of State for Take Your Child to Work Day.|
|Agency||Department of State|
|Number of Interns||2|
Every April the Department of State hosts Take Your Child to Work Day. Children ages 9-15, who have at least one parent working at State, are invited to attend presentations on the wide array of activities and cultures with which the Department is involved. We are looking for education majors with a strong creative edge and who can work with individual offices to create videos, handouts, slideshows, quizzes, and other materials to engage our young audience. Possible projects include devising materials on the history of the Department of State, State's role in preventing wildlife trafficking and protecting the environment, exploration of world cultures, and the passport application process. This internship will be amazing because it will allow for the eInterns to do a variety of creative projects, and to learn about the work of the Department of State while developing creative and engaging educational materials.
The supervisor for this project will offer eInterns to participating TYCTWD offices beginning in September so that a large number of offices can receive assistance prior to the April event.
