|Project Title||Feed the Future: Agriculture & Nutrition|
|Project Summary||Explore the intersection of gender integration, civil society engagement, and local ownership in agriculture and nutrition projects|
|Agency||Agency for International Development|
|Number of Interns||6|
The eIntern will assist the Bureau for Food Security’s Country Strategy & Implementation Division (CSI) in producing materials and conducting research for the various projects. The eIntern will develop/review existing project handouts, fact sheets, toolkits, and infographics to highlight lessons learned such as how we are engaging civil society in agriculture and nutrition projects. The intern may also be requested to conduct research and analyze issues on a variety of topics such as country ownership, civil society engagement, sustainability, and gender integration. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in gaining experience in international development, specifically the nutrition, food security, and agriculture sectors.
USAID's Bureau for Food Security (BFS) leads Feed the Future (FTF), the U.S. Government’s global hunger and food security initiative. FTF increases agricultural productivity, improves the nutritional status of the poor, invests in long-term agricultural research, and strengthens the capacity of government, civil society and private sector partners, bolstering resilience and sustainability.
