): The United States Diplomacy Center (USDC) is responsible for designing and building a museum and education center to be located at the main building of the Department of State. USDC will inform the public about the work of the Department of State, and other foreign affairs agencies, the service and sacrifice of Foreign Service officers and their families and the history, practice and challenges of American Diplomacy. It will be a unique place where our nation’s citizens and people of all cultures can explore how American diplomacy has helped shape our nation and how it serves our national interests. Through research, the VSFS intern will be part of the content team to ensure the themes and stories of American diplomacy are portrayed in an engaging manner in exhibition content. Through research, the VSFS intern will be part of the content team to ensure the themes and stories of American diplomacy are portrayed in an engaging manner in exhibition content. S/he will work in a virtual team environment on a broad range of other activities, including coordinating media and outreach activities and education programs, to enhance the public audience’s understanding of American diplomacy.
