|Project Title||Digital Content Wizard|
|Project Summary||We have amazing resources but people aren't finding them. Help us make our publications easier to find for researchers by combing through lists of publications and organizing them by topic.|
|Agency||National Archives and Records Administration|
|Number of Interns||1|
We are looking for a student to help us go through online lists of microfilm catalogs, general information leaflets and more to reorganize publications by topics such as military history, genealogy, etc. so they can be turned into new web pages. We are also seeking an analytical eye to review current pages for ideas on SEO improvement and usability. The section we'll be improving is: www.archives.gov/publications.
|Editing and proofreading|
The Web and Social Media Branch at the National Archives is located in the Digital Engagement Division in the Office of Innovation. In this office, we are involved in many different tasks, from managing the agency website (archives.gov) and maintaining the online catalog to managing digitization partnerships and working with the Wikipedia community. For this project, we'll be focusing one section of the website to help researchers with access to information.
